Dr. Kelley is a board-certified ophthalmologist and surgeon. He is fellowship trained in cornea, specializing in cornea disease and surgery, refractive surgery, and cataract surgery. He also consults and treats patients with Macular Degeneration, Diabetes and Glaucoma. Co-management with the patients’ optometrist can be arranged and is encouraged because convenience for the patient is important. Dr. Kelley is performing surgery in Columbus, Norfolk, and West Point.

Dr. Kelley prides himself on providing his patients with the latest technology and treatment options for their eye care with a personalized approach to meet each person’s individual needs. He completed his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maryland in College Park, Maryland, and his Medical Degree from the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo, Ohio. While serving in the United States Air Force, Dr. Kelley completed a general surgery internship at the David Grant Medical Center located at the Travis Air Force Base. He then completed his ophthalmology residency at the San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium in San Antonio, Texas. In 2005, he completed his Fellowship, Corneal and Refractive Surgery at the University of Texas Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Kelley served with honor in the United States Military for over twenty years. He practiced as the Chief Ophthalmologist for both Keesler Air Force Base and Wright Patterson Air Force Base consecutively. He then moved to Alaska where he was the Chief of Ophthalmology and Refractive Surgery at the Joint Base Elmendorf Richard Hospital for four years.

Dr. Kelley was named U.S. Air Force Pacific Air Command Surgeon of the Year in 2009. Other honors include Meritorious Service Medal US Air Force, Aerial Achievement Medal US Air Force, Commendation Medal US Air Force, Good Conduct Medal US Navy. After retiring from the U.S. Air Force with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel, Dr. Kelley was an associate professor at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas instructing residents. He then returned to Alaska where he practiced ophthalmology until he relocated to Southern California.

Dr. Kelley is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and the Association of Research in Vision and Ophthalmology. Dr. Kelley resides in Columbus and enjoys spending time with his family, outdoor activities, and sporting activities.
