New Medical Records System
On June 21, 2011 we will be "going live" with our new electronic medical records system - NextGen. We ask for your patience as we make the transition to this new system. Bike Ride Accross Nebraska
Dr. Rick Haney was one of 600 cyclers who participated in the Bike Ride Across Nebraska (BRAN) June 6-12, 2010. BRAN is a community service project of the Rotary Club of Omaha Northwest with the assistance of the Omaha Pedalers Bicycle Club. Their fundraising activity provides money to fund scholarships for Nebraska High School graduates to Nebraska colleges and universities. The 500 mile bike ride started in Harrison, Nebraska with 600 cyclers and rode across Nebraska ending in Ashland.
On June 19, 2010, Dr. Haney participated in the Columbus Chautauqua celebration with a bike ride for polio fundraising. And on June 26, Dr. Haney participated in a 22 mile bike ride in Yutan, Nebraska for the Cornhusker State Games.

Dr. Haney at Special Olympics July 18-23, 2010
Dr. Rick Haney O.D. will be volunteering for Healthy Athletes Opening Eyes at the Special Olympic National Games held July 18-23, 2010 in Lincoln, Nebraska. This is a program where Optometrists provide eye screeniing tests for the athletes participating in the games. This program is sponsored by the Nebraska Optometric Association, Lions Club international and Special Olympics.
Meeting in Boston
Peter E. Diedrichsen, M.D. will be attending the American Society of Refractive and Cataract Surgeons meeting in Boston, Massachusetts on April 8-13, 2010.
Optometric Association Meeting
Richard P. Haney, O.D. will be attending the Spring Nebraska Optometric Association meeting in Lincoln, Nebraska on March 26-28, 2010.
Medical Mission trip to Nicaragua
Peter E. Diedrichsen, M.D. went on a Medical Mission trip to Nicaragua along with Nila Novotny, M.D. where they performed surgical procedures and cared for other medical problems for the people of that country who have little access to medical care. Optician Jacquelyn Mach
Jacquelyn Mach, ABOC, became our third optician in the Optical Dispensary to be certified by the American Board of Opticianry. She qualified to sit for the exam by taking a study course and hands on experience. She became certified by passing a test offered by the ABO. We congratulate Jaci on her accomplishment.
